*Remove all "dead" stems, flowers, and leaves on herbaceous perennials.
*Cut Knock-Out Roses down to 1' tall.
Oriental grasses can be burnt to the ground or cut 4 inches above the crown.
*"Fluff" mulch up. Rake your mulch to allow air and water to reach plants roots.
*Rake up tree leaves out of your landscape.
